As new Covid19 cases continue to emerge around the world and reports of the coronavirus re-activating in patients who have already recovered in China are starting to come to light, it seems like we might really have to start re-imagining a world where a full or semi-lockdown is permanent.

Some experts have estimated that it will take us at least until mid 2021 for us to fully contain the virus.

Until we have a vaccine that is widely available, which according to experts could take anywhere from 18–24 months to develop — at its earliest — the world might really have to continue enforcing lockdown and social distancing measures until that happens.
